Journeying through Grief: A Sacred Circle of Support

Whether you are mourning the death of a loved one, facing another significant loss, or carrying grief from years past, you are invited to join Journeying Through Grief. Together, through prayer, conversation, and Christian fellowship, we will create a compassionate space to share, listen, and find hope and healing in God’s presence.

A parish dinner series inspired by our beloved Lenten Suppers, offering deeper discussion and reflection on the Gospel of Mark.
Young Adult Gathering

Dutch and Carey Leigh Crews are graciously hosting a time for the young adults to enjoy fellowship, snacks, and prayer. We welcome folks in the 20s and 30s, and also early 40s if you feel like joining! Faith Formation Project
Read the Gospel of Mark with us this Fall!
We are committing to reading the four gospels and the Book of Acts as a parish over the next two years. Ways of engaging include listening to our podcast, coming to community dinners in October, or joining our Women's Bible Study.
Collecting Donations for Peace, Love, and Paws
Now through Sunday, October 4
Our outreach team is collecting donations for Peace, Love, and Paws, a non-profit caring for the pets of those most in need in Denver. The key needs are: dog/cat beds - all sizes; dog jackets and sweaters; pet blankets – all sizes; dog/cat toys; leashes; collars & harnesses; dog/cat treats; small & medium pet carriers (hard and soft sided). Please place your gifts in our bins at church.

Children of all ages are ALWAYS welcome in worship at Ascension. Children older than 3 are welcome in the nursery by arrangement with Director of Children, Youth, and Family Ministry Tina Clark, space allowing.

Preach and Teach Holy Eucharist and Healing

This unique midweek service combines adult formation and Holy Eucharist, offering an opportunity to explore Scripture and faith more deeply within the context of worship and conversation. Next week: Join us as we celebrate St. Michael and All Angels. We’ll have a little fun with an Angel Quiz during the service. Come and see how much you know—and perhaps learn something new about God’s heavenly messengers!
Parents' Morning at Ascension
Thursday, October 1, 8:30-10:30 am
Children ages 3 and under will enjoy friendship and age-appropriate Christian formation with our professional teaching staff while parents take a couple of hours to themselves for spiritual and personal renewal. Moms are warmly invited to join the Women's Bible Study from 9-10, and all parents are welcome for a time of reflection, prayer, or conversation - at the church or across the street at Novo. Women's Bible Study on the Gospel of Mark

Women of all ages are warmly invited to gather each Thursday morning in the Library/Youth Room for prayer, conversation, fellowship, and the study of Scripture as we journey together through the Gospels of Mark and Matthew this fall as part of our Faith Formation Project.
Ascension Choirs
Any and all are welcome to sing or ring in Ascensions' choirs. It's the perfect time to join Parish Choir (high school and adults), Ascension Ringers (high school and adults), and SONshine Singers (grades K-5). Serve at Urban Peak

Join us in serving at Urban Peak on October 11. Urban Peak is a Denver-based shelter serving young people ages 12–24 experiencing homelessness. Donations to support this outreach are welcome—checks payable to Church of the Ascension with “Outreach” in the memo (place in the plate, bring to the parish office, or mail). Lunch-Making for Neighbors Experiencing Homelessness

Help make lunches for the Women’s Homelessness Initiative, a ministry of Capitol Hill United Ministries. Ascension gathers one Sunday each month to prepare lunches for neighbors experiencing homelessness. Donations, which you can place in the bin at the back of the church, are also needed:
