The Hebrew Bible Study continues our exciting new exploration of the Book of Isaiah — one of the most powerful, poetic, and profound books in all of Scripture. Isaiah speaks of judgment and hope, exile and restoration, suffering and salvation. Its words echo throughout the New Testament and point us again and again toward the promises of God fulfilled in Christ. Whether you are new to Bible study or have studied Scripture for years, there is a place for you in this welcoming and thoughtful group. So grab your Bible, your lunch, and your curiosity — and join us on Zoom as we journey into one of the Bible’s most beautiful and transformative books.

Women of Faith Bible and Book Study

Praying with the community of Ascension
Prayer is an integral part of our life as Christians. Here at Ascension, we have several opportunities to pray together.
Spoken and printed prayers every Sunday. Each Sunday, we pray aloud and in print for those who have requested our prayers. Please contact our office.
Morning Prayer every Monday through Friday at 8 a.m. Since the 4th century, Christians have gathered to dedicate each new day to God in the service of Morning Prayer. Join us at 8 a.m. every Monday through Wednesday on Zoom and at 8 a.m. every Friday in the Chapel and on Zoom.
Centering Prayer every Thursday at 7:45 a.m. Centering Prayer, a method of silent prayer rooted in scripture and Christian practice, is a wonderful way to start your day. Brief instruction is available. For more information, please contact Barb Watson.
Prayer Chain. The Prayer Chain is a group of parishioners who pray regularly for people or situations for whom or which prayer has been requested. Prayer requests are submitted by email and distributed confidentially by email to Prayer Chain participants. To submit a prayer request or to participate in the Prayer Chain, please contact Cora Neslin.
Senior Lunch Program. The Senior Lunch Program meets the third Wednesday of each month at 12:00 p.m. following the 11:30 Preach and Teach Eucharist and Healing service.
