Eric Hammerberg and his wife Diane joined Ascension in 2006. Eric was raised in the Methodist church and his wife in the Lutheran church. He was baptized at St. Andrews Episcopal church in 1970; they have attended both Lutheran and Episcopal churches ever since. They have three children: Mark (38), Molly (35), and Mimi (28), and 4 grandchildren.

Eric has practiced neurology for 35 years. His personal interests include skiing, sailing, and playing the flute. He attends both the bible study group at Ascension and also a philosophy group with fellow physicians.
