PASTORAL CARE and CONFESSION (RECONCILIATION OF THE PENITENT)

Fr. Lucas Grubbs is always available for pastoral care and prayer in times of illness, grief, loss, or any other adversity that life can throw our way.  The Gospel of Jesus Christ commands us to care deeply for and to love one another.  Ascension is a parish filled with loving and caring members who also offer care, support, and prayer for everyone in the parish family.  If you would like to meet with Fr. Lucas to schedule a confidential visit or a meeting, please don't hesitate to call or e-mail.  Prayer requests can be sent to the parish office at admin@ascensiondenver.org.

Fr. Lucas is also available by appointment to hear confessions and to offer counsel and absolution.  The rite used for the Confession of Sin (or Reconciliation of the Penitent) is found in the Book of Common Prayer on Pg. 447.  This is a sacrament in which we admit to the sins that burden our conscience and soul, and where we are able to receive the reassurance of God's infinite mercy, pardon and love.  All confessions are strictly confidential and are heard wherever is most convenient and comfortable for those seeking to make their confession.

If you have an urgent pastoral care concern, such as an illness or sudden death, or wish to schedule a confession, please email rector@ascensiondenver.org or call the parish office at 303-388-5978.
