Holy Week Begins on Sunday

Dear Friends in Christ,

Holy Week begins this Sunday, April 9th with Palm Sunday.  The liturgies of Holy Week recall for us the story of Jesus'  Passion, Death, and Resurrection.  Each one is profoundly moving and they brin g us deep into the heart of the Christian Gospel.  Below is the schedule of services.  Be sure to mark your calendars! Prayers for all, and a special blessing on your week.

Faithfully in Christ,

Fr. Lucas+

PALM SUNDAY

April 9th, 8am and 10 am.

We will celebrate Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem with the passing of palm branches and, at the 10 a.m. service, the Church of the Ascension's annual Palm Sunday procession, led by the Colorado Youth Pipe Band.

"Could you not watch with me one hour?". On Maundy Thursday evening, we invite everyone to come and pray for an hour during the night after the service from 9pm through 8am Good Friday morning. A sign-up sheet is on the ushers table or email admin@ascensiondenver.org.

GOOD FRIDAY

April 14th, 12:00 noon.

A solemn liturgy to commemorate the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ.  Holy Communion from the Reserved Sacrament.
