Tim Dunbar's Ordination: Save the Date!

As Christians, we have so much to be thankful for.  The life, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ anchors us in a way of being that helps us to see the goodness in the world and the people around us.  As followers of Jesus, we are called to live with thankful hearts, grateful for the abundance and wonder of creation, and the love of God revealed to us every day in ways both big and small.  And as members of this family, Church of the Ascension, we have been experiencing a season of special gratitude and blessings.  Three recent baptisms, twelve confirmations, robust, holy, and joyful worship and fellowship...and last night, our celebration of The Feast of the Ascension, our parish's own feast of title.  It was an evening of sublime worship, Gospel preaching, and fellowship shared with the parish of St. Michael and All Angels.  And next month, we have even more reason to celebrate, rejoice, and be thankful.  Our deacon-in-training, Tim Dunbar, will be ordained to the Sacred Order of Deacons on Saturday, June 18th.  And after his ordination, he will continue to serve at Ascension for many years as our Deacon.  ALL are invited to share in his special day as Tim makes his ordination vows before God and the Church at St. John's Cathedral.  Below is the official ordination announcement from Bishop Rob.  I hope you will mark the date and make this once in a lifetime moment a priority as we celebrate Tim and his continuing ministry among us.

Yours thankfully in Christ,

Lucas
