2018 is an exciting time at the Church of the Ascension! We have a unique opportunity to stop and listen to God's voice and to discern how our building should be used for the good of God's kingdom in this community for generations to come.

First Parish Meeting,  September 24, 2017 

Visioning Posters were posted December 1, 2017 summarizing October 15 meeting for individual input

New Beginnings Application submitted December 29, 2017

First Parish Visit held February 20, 2018

  • Meeting with Jr. Warden, Jim Kahler, and Building tour; Meeting regarding finances with Lonnie Kandel; Neighborhood tour by Ann Dykes and Laura Osborne; Dinner with George Caulkins, Jim Kahler, Ann Dykes and Laura Osborne; Appreciative Inquiry session with parishioners

Second Parish Visit – anticipated in April, 2018

  • Present preliminary results to Building Use Committee; Train committee members to present results to parish

Parish Home Meetings – anticipated late April and May 2018

Building Use Committee summarizes work on Guiding Themes and New Beginnings report to Vestry – May-June 2018

Vestry to use New Beginnings report and Guiding Themes to begin discernment of actual uses of building – Summer/Fall 2018
