As a neighborhood church, Ascension has a vibrant community of parishioners, spanning all age ranges across multiple generations. On Sunday mornings, coffee hour is a lively time where we gather to catch up with one another about the week’s events. We also enjoy various activities including seasonal in-home dinners where parishioners can get to know each other better. These opportunities for fellowship enhance our sense of community. Most parishioners have chosen Ascension specifically for the warmth and love they feel in the parish.

Throughout the Church year we have special services and programs, such as during Advent (the weeks preceding Christmas) and Lent (the period between Ash Wednesday and Easter Sunday). We also celebrate Shrove Tuesday (Mardi Gras) with a pancake supper. Be sure to ask us about the night before Thanksgiving, which is Pie Night to the Ascension family.
