Baptisms in the Episcopal Church are normally celebrated at a principal Sunday service with the entire community has the opportunity to be present. The preferred days for baptisms are: Easter, Pentecost, All Saints Sunday, and the feast of the Baptism of our Lord.

At the request of parents, the clergy of Ascension will baptize infants and younger children. Parents may get in touch with the Rector or any other member of our clergy team through the office to arrange for an appointment to discuss baptism.

Adults and older children wishing to be baptized normally participate in an Enquirers' class that meets on Sunday mornings before the 10:00 a.m. service throughout the year. The Rector has more information about this class.
